DAUGHTER, TAKE YOUR HONOUR!

Barak told her,"I will go, but only if you will go with me!"
"Very well," she replied, "I will go with you. But since you have made this choice, you will receive no honour. For the LORD'S victory over Sisera will be at the hands of a woman". So Deborah went with Barak to Kedesh. (Judges 4:8-9)

In this story, a woman was given the opportunity to take the honour from a man. A man's job fell into the hands of a woman! Here is privilege a woman had to take up the role of leadership and the challenge to do man's work.
This is what is happening in the family today. There are many men who have relegated their responsibilities as leaders and spiritual heads. Women are doing the things men are supposed to do. And I am happy to say women are doing these jobs very well. There are Deborahs who are ready to take the honour and win battles for the Lord.
What the Baraks cannot do, God has raised up Deborahs to do. When they get their hands to the plough, things really get moving. Honour doesn't just happened, it must be worked for.

4 things to be done to experience honour:

1. Have an identity: She is called Deborah, which means 'Bee'. Bee produces sweetness and the same time is stings. What value are you adding to your self, your community, your church. Your identity, they say, is your most valuable possession. Protect it.  When you lack identity, you lack honour. Jabez, had the understanding of identity and loudly called on God for Divine intervention. God answered him (1Chronicles 4:9-10). If there's nothing good about your identity you can do the same and God will answer you just as He did Jabez. I pray for you, whatever made you to lose honour by the mercy of God, be restored in Jesus name.

2. She is a wife: she is a wife not a knife. A virtuous wife is a crown to her husband: but she who causes shame is like decay in his bones (Proverbs 12:4). Are you a wife or a knife? He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtain favour from God (Proverbs 18:22). You are the good thing that can ever happen to your husband. You are not a nuisance. My husband will say, women are everywhere but wives are scarce. For every  singles who is reading this article, before the end of this year, You will be found as a wife in Jesus name. You will not miss your season of marital breakthrough in  Jesus name. Let me say this, position yourself to be found as a wife not as a woman.

3. She is a Prophet: she has a call into five-fold ministry. She is not only Deborah by name, and a wife, but also has a call into ministry. The totality of your life as a woman should not be a full-housewife. Discover your place in the house of the Lord. It is not necessary that you should be called a pastor, prophet, Apostle, Evangelist but you can be a Volunteer, go to Mission, serve in the hospitality  and others. Serve! Serve!!Serve!!!

4. She is a Judge: The first woman ever who became a judge in Israel. What shall it be said of you? Would you be called a Medical Doctor, a Lawyer, an Entrepreneur, an Architect, or what? Remember she has a career. Which she also uses to support her family.  If the totality of your finances is upon your husband alone then you are not fit for honour. Daily improve on yourself. If you want to know a woman ready for honour, check out what she does consistently. Life is not a rehearsal ground. It's too short to be wasted. Eccl.3:1  There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. There's a season for a single girl to be married. Again I pray, you will not miss your season in Jesus name.  To the married, your seat of honour in your home will never be replaced by another person in Jesus name.
Daughter, it is your honour! This means that it is an opportunity for you to bear fruits for God. I await your testimonies in Jesus name.
